Common Ground is a diversely driven youth center dedicated to promoting personal growth through artistic expression, community leadership and the exchange of ideas. The Center is the place to be if you’re in the 8th - 12th grades. Common Ground provides teens with after school activities, a computer lab homework room, a free high speed WiFi hotzone, community service projects, leadership workshops, excursions, summer hikes, dances and live concerts, as well as lots of other great special events.

The Common Ground Teen Center is made possible through teen-led fund raisers, grants, donations, and the support from the city and town of St. Albans. The Center is administered by Director Colleen Kelly, AmeriCorps members through the Vermont Youth Development Corps, and the Teen Council. Common Ground promotes primary prevention through offering a safe and fun place for youth during non-school hours. We work to foster an atmosphere that encourages youth empowerment, leadership and community stewardship. |
